On 8 March 2023 we remember even more to embrace equality equity and inclusion of women and girls everywhere and from all walks all life and every sector. This year UNWomen’s priority theme is “Innovation and technological change, and education in the digital age for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls”
Around the world, other organizations follow and support the theme in practical ways. Year by year the international women’s day campaign designs a pose to use on social media and continues building awareness of the theme.
This is about embracing equality and the pose says it too. We can all challenge gender stereotypes, call out discrimination, draw attention to bias, and seek out inclusion.
Collective activism is what drives change. From grassroots action to wide-scale momentum, we can all embrace equity. Everyone everywhere can play a part.
Collectively, we can all forge positive change.
How can we all do it?
- Share the passion and excitement that comes from valuing and supporting difference.
- Reflect on how we can all be part of the solution, not the problem.
- Encourage and rally your friends, family, colleagues, and community to embrace equity.
- Together we can work collectively to impact positive change, from the school, to the boardroom. Together we can all help forge an equal world.
