Many people feel a sense of exhaustion and a lack of fulfillment despite being busy, possibly due to a lack of true enjoyment or fun in their lives. The answer to becoming a better person, better professional, and better human being who deals with both pressure in the world and lives full lives is to have more fun. Yes! Sí, Señores and Señoras, Fun! Diversion! Spass!

Catherine Price author of “How to Break Up With Your Phone,” challenges us to keep our phones out of our hands as much as possible, so we can take me up on her second suggestion, which is to increase connection by interacting more with other human beings in real life. Real fun results from a combination of entering in “flow”, playfulness, and connection with others. Flow refers to the sense of losing the passing of time while we are doing it.

The word “fun” is often used to describe leisure activities that may not actually be enjoyable or fulfilling.

Fun is not just for children and is not frivolous, but is a key factor in feeling alive and experiencing joy.

Fun can be experienced in a variety of ways and does not necessarily require specific activities or games.

The benefits of having fun include increased creativity, improved relationships, and increased well-being.

Incorporating fun into daily life can have a positive impact on mental and physical health, as well as overall happiness and fulfillment.

The fun does not always mean laughter. Though many times it does. Laughter has several benefits for both physical and mental health. Some of the benefits of laughter include:

Pain reliever: Laughter has been shown to increase the production of endorphins and reduce the perception of pain.

Stress reducer: Laughter can help reduce the levels of stress hormones in the body and increase endorphins, which are the body’s natural feel-good chemicals. This can help to lower blood pressure and improve mood.

It boosts our immune system: Laughter has been shown to increase the production of antibodies and T-cells, which help to fight off illness and infection.

Laughter improves our mental health: Laughter can help to reduce anxiety and depression, improve mood, and increase feelings of happiness and well-being.

Laughter can strengthen our relationships: Sharing laughter with others can help to build stronger relationships and improve social connections.

Enhancing cognitive function: Laughter has been shown to improve memory, problem-solving skills, and overall cognitive function.

Increasing productivity: Laughter can help to improve concentration, increase motivation, and reduce the effects of stress, which can lead to increased productivity.
